How is this Technique done?
You will be lying face down on the massage table and only need to remove your upper clothing and footwear.
You will be appropriately covered.
Essential oils are applied to your back, neck, head and feet in a specific sequence using specific strokes. It is gentle, relaxing and not a massage per se.
There will be a small amount of oil in your hair and on your feet. It is beneficial to leave the oil on your feet, therefore socks or sockettes with your footwear is advised. However, the small amount of essential oils can be removed from your feet if requested.

Although this is not a full body massage, physical touch combined with carefully selected essential oils done in a set sequence provides many benefits. Is there anything else I should know?
The oil is moved along your spine to the crown of your head. If you do not wish to have a small amount of oil in your hair, please advise your therapist.
Oil is applied to your feet, this can cause you to have slippery feet. If you are wearing footwear where this is a problem, we can remove the oil with hot cloths.
Although the oil soaks into your skin, you may have some residual on your skin when you shower. Please be aware that this may put you at risk of slipping.
The oil will not stain your clothing, a minimal amount is used, and it is rubbed into your skin.
You will be lying on your stomach for this technique.
This is not a massage, although massage strokes are used. There is no deep tissue pressure, it is the application of select oils in a specific sequence along your spine, head and feet.
